This poster is a mockup of the 2022 Winter Olympics poster in Moscow, Russia. It represents the new era of Olympic relationships with Russia since Moscow's previous hosting of the Olympics in 1980. The United States boycotted the Olympic Games due to the 1979 Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. This poster reinvents the previously negative connotation of Moscow through the statement, “A New Decade, Comes a New Olympic Beginning.” This poster honors Russia’s bold red and grid system layout to embody the power of this new Olympic beginning opportunity. Photoshop was used to mask and layer Moscow’s architectural details to create a snowflake as the 2022 Olympic Logo. Overall, this poster innovates the new Olympic relationships with Russia while continuing to represent the bold attitude of Moscow, Russia.
